Overview

[68Ga]Ga-A9-6217 is a Gallium-68 labeled radiopharmaceutical developed by Alpha-9 Theranostics for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging. It is designed to target the Gastrin-Releasing Peptide Receptor (GRPR), a G protein-coupled receptor that is highly expressed in various solid tumors, including prostate, breast, colorectal, and lung cancers. By binding to GRPR, the agent allows for the non-invasive visualization and quantification of receptor density using PET/CT or PET/MRI. This imaging capability is intended to support the diagnosis, staging, and selection of patients for potential GRPR-targeted radioligand therapies. [68Ga]Ga-A9-6217 is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation to determine its safety, biodistribution, and dosimetry in patients with advanced or metastatic solid tumors.
